Kalar Community

The term Kalar or Kalal has originated from our connections with the King of Kallul. We are widely spread all over India under different names like Kalar/Jaiwal in Uttar Pradesh, Kallowar in Bihar and Jain Kalar or Dadsena in Orissa and Maharashtra. Telugu, Marathi and Hindi speaking Kalars are found in Maharashtra.
